The Mid City Art Market
YES, the Art Market is back. We are coming back with the city. Slowly, but surely things are beginning to fall into place. Click on the June 24 hyperlink for some photos of last months Art Market. Our next market will be July 29th, in the Botanical Gardens. As usual, admission will be free. The hours will be 10:am to 4:00 pm with music and a children's activity tent. Also, on June 24th, the art market opened the gift shop in the botanical gardens. The gift shop will be filled with art from the artists. As you may know, a comprehensive master planning process has begun for New Orleans City Park to set forth the direction of park projects and programming for the City of New Orleans. The Mid City Art Market has agreed to partake in City Park's plan for the future. The following pictures were taken pre-Katrina.
Beauregard Circle Terminal Peristyle Mid-City Art Market, Art in the Heart of New Orleans, proudly showcases local and regional artists selling their pottery, furniture, jewelry, glass, painting, metal art, sculpture, photography, textiles and accessories. Nestled in beautiful City Park, the market will star all the
wonderful artists and musicians that have created such a buzz, as well as
